Description
Nos 35 to 47 Sycamore Road is a parade of shops built between 1905 and 1908 by H Bedford Tylor. The building has two storeys plus an attic. The ground floor is constructed of brick with some stonework and features modest shop fronts. The first floor is jettied and showcases timber framing with roughcast, topped by a tiled roof. The design includes five gables, which are nearly symmetrical around a central large gable that features a four-light oriel window with a tiled roof. The windows are wooden casements, available in three, four, and five-light configurations. The dormer windows in the roof have flat roofs that project significantly.
