Description
The Rest House, located in The Green, Bournville, was built in 1914 to commemorate the Silver Wedding of Mr and Mrs George Cadbury the previous year. Designed by W Alexander Harvey, it is constructed of brick with stone dressings and features a tiled roof. The building is octagonal in shape and has 3-light mullioned windows, with projecting gables above that contain 2-light mullioned windows. The two tiers of windows are separated by deeply overhanging eaves supported on brackets. The steep-pitched roof is topped with a small glazed lantern and an elaborate metal weathervane.
