Description
Nos 75 to 81 on High Street is an 18th-century building that was rebuilt after a fire in 1979. It has two storeys and is constructed of red and blue brick, topped with a handmade tile roof featuring a brick modillion cornice. The ground floor consists of a parade of four shops, which are divided centrally. Each side has two centrally placed doors with shop windows on either side, and there is a projecting wooden hood that runs the full length of the shops. The first floor contains four sash windows. The roof over the northern section has been altered with the addition of a row of modern windows. Above and behind the building, there are two modern gables with bargeboards. The building is listed for its group value.
