No. 71 High Street is an 18th-century building constructed of red and blue brick, topped with a slate roof. It stands two storeys tall. The ground floor features a projecting 19th-century shop front, which includes central double doors and side shop windows divided by vertical glazing bars into four sections. The first floor has five sash windows, all without glazing bars except for the central window, which has marginal glazing bars.
