Description

This is a range of 17th-century properties located on Smith Street. Originally timber-framed, the walls are now mostly covered with stucco. During repairs, remnants of the original timber framing were observed in the walls of numbers 37 and 39. The roof is covered with old tiles. The building has three gabled dormers on the left-hand side and two slightly larger flush gables on the right-hand side, and features small shopfronts with plate glass. Numbers 37 to 43 (odd numbers), including number 39A, form a group.
