Description

This is an 18th-century brick building of four windows, located on Smith Street. The building comprises numbers 60, 62, and 64. The windows are primarily casements, and one bay has been blocked up. The building features flat stone arches with keyblocks, a stone string band at the first floor, and stone quoins. A moulded stone cornice runs along the eaves. The building has fairly good, almost identical 19th-century shopfronts, which include pilasters, friezes, and cornices. It has an old tile roof, which continues with the roofline of number 66. A first-floor sill band is also present. The buildings at numbers 54 to 76 on the south side form a group of listed buildings.
