This is a late 16th-century, two-story house located on the north side of Smith Street. It features identical, slender, twin gables with vertical studding, each containing a single sash window. The house has large plate glass shopfronts. The roof is covered with well-weathered machine tiles. It forms a group with numbers 57 and 59, including 57A and 59A.
