Description

No. 76 Smith Street is a house located on the corner of Smith Street and St Nicholas Church Street. It is probably from the 17th century and has two storeys plus an attic. The ground floor has been altered, with a wall that is partly made of stone and partly of brickwork. The upper floor is now covered with fake framing. The east elevation, which faces St Johns, features a large gable on the right side. There are also unremarkable 19th-century plate glass shopfronts. The roof is made of old tiles and continues with the roof of No. 74 above. The listed buildings on the south side from Nos 54 to 76 form a group.
