Description

23 and 25 Smith Street is a building from the 18th century, consisting of two storeys plus an attic and featuring three windows. It has a simple design with brick walls, rusticated quoins, and a moulded cornice made of painted stone. The windows are sashes set in wide cased frames, each with stone keyblocks, although the shopfronts are likely from the late 18th century and retain only one vertical glazing bar per window. The roof is covered with old tiles and has three gabled dormers. The first-floor windows have glazing bars and flat arches made of cut stone. Nos 23 to 29 (odd) form a group.
