Nos 20 and 22 on Smith Street are early to mid 19th century buildings constructed from colour washed brick and topped with Welsh slates. They rise three storeys and feature two sash windows with glazing bars, each adorned with rusticated stucco heads. The ground floor has modern shop windows that sit beneath 19th century cornices, with the window on the right aligned with the cornice of Nos 16 and 18. These buildings are part of a group that includes Nos 4 to 28 (even).
