Description

The Gables is a building likely originating from the 17th century, located at 1781 Gerrard Street on the east side. It features two storeys, with a continuation at the rear of No. 16 Smith Street on the south side. The lower storey is made of colour-washed stone blocks, while the upper storey is constructed of 18th-century brickwork. Some original 18th-century leaded lights are still present, although other windows have been replaced with modern ones. The building is topped with old tiles.
