Description

Nos 21 and 22 on Friar Gate are early to mid-19th century buildings made of red brick. They stand three stories tall and feature four sash windows, each with plain keyblocks and lintels. At the top, there is a plain stone-coped parapet. The buildings have a late 19th-century shop front, with a doorway on the right-hand side that includes a plain rectangular fanlight and a six-panelled door. These properties are included for their group value, as they form a cohesive group with Nos 16 to 23.
