No. 18 Friar Gate is a 17th-century building that has been significantly restored. It features a timber frame with cement rendered brick infilling and stands two storeys tall with an attic in the gables. The building has two gables, each adorned with restored bargeboards, open wood finials, and one window. There are four windows with 18th-century sashes. The roof is modern and covered with tiles.
