Villa. c1834 with later additions and alterations including later C19 range to rear left and C20 garage to left. Pinkish-brown brick with painted stucco to front and garden facades, Welsh slate roof. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys, 3 first-floor windows. First floor: two 6/6 sashes and blind opening, all with sills and in plain reveals, that to centre is narrower. Ground floor, central entrance: 2 roll-edged steps to 3-panel door with overlight, within surround of Tuscan pilasters, frieze, cornice, blocking course. To left a 6/6 sash with sill, to right a blind opening, both in plain reveals. Hipped roof, tall rear, front and end stacks. Garden facade: first floor has two 6/6 sashes; ground floor has 2 tall 6/9 sashes, that to right with margin-lights, all in plain reveals. To left return, 6/6 sash with flat arch of gauged brick and tall, narrow 6/6 staircase sash with cambered arch. INTERIOR: retains original plasterwork and joinery including openwell staircase with stick balusters and wreathed handrail; cornices to most rooms; 4-panel doors throughout; double folding doors and marble fireplace to ground-floor drawing room; shutters to most windows; cellars. Forms an architectural group with Nos 123 & 125 Radford Road (qqv).
