Description
This is a villa dating from around 1834, with later additions and alterations, including a rear extension. The exterior is principally pinkish-brown brick with a cement-tile roof. The front facade is rendered and features a cast-iron verandah. The building is two storeys high with three first-floor windows. The first floor has sash windows with six-over-six panes, sills, and plain reveals. The ground floor features a central entrance with a part-glazed door, margin lights, an overlight, and plain reveals. There are two tall six-over-nine sash windows also with plain reveals. The roof is hipped with tall end stacks that have cornices. A continuous verandah runs along the ground floor, featuring scroll decoration to the struts and frieze, and a glazed roof. Inside, a marble fireplace is located in the right-hand ground floor room. The villa forms an architectural group with numbers 125 Radford Road and 217 Leam Terrace.
