Description
Pear Tree Cottage, located at No 5 Vicarage Road, is a timber-framed cottage dating from the 17th century, which was encased in red brick during the 19th century. The cottage features a steeply pitched plain tile roof with gabled ends and consists of one storey and an attic, with a three-window range. The windows are small pane casements set in segmental arched openings, and there is a modern wooden door. The cottage has three gabled attic dormers, each with small pane two-light casements, and brick ridge chimney stacks. At the rear, there is a small timber frame and painted brick wing. Inside, the timber framing is exposed.
