Description

Tweed Cottage, located at No. 9 in Burnham Market's Market Place, is a cottage that shows some evidence of 17th century construction, although most of its details are from the 19th century. The building is two storeys high and features a single window. It is constructed from flint with brick dressings and has a roof covered in red pantiles. On the ground floor, there is a three-light casement window and on the first floor, a two-light casement window. The entrance includes a boarded and part-glazed door. The cottage has brick quoins, some of which are made from bricks that predate 1700, and there is isolated brick stitching from a former first-floor opening. An east end stack is present. The cottage is included in the register primarily for its group value with other nearby structures.
