Description

The Blue House, The House on the Green, and Coachman's Cottage are a row of three cottages dating from the 18th century. They are constructed with colourwashed plaster render over brick, and have red pantiled roofs. The cottages are two storeys high.

No. 78, the easternmost cottage, has three bays and a lobby entrance plan. It features two ground floor sash windows with glazing bars, and two 19th-century first-floor casements with three lights, the central light being hinged. A wooden door is set within an architrave, and a central axial stack is present.

No. 79, to the west, has two ground floor and two first floor sash windows with glazing bars. A central door is framed by a moulded architrave, and has a raised and fielded four-panel door.

No. 80, the westernmost cottage, incorporates a late 19th-century three-window canted bay window on the ground floor, with a door attached to its west side. The windows have margin light glazing bar divisions filled with coloured glass. A stack is located on the party wall shared with No. 79.
