Chest tomb to Elizabeth, wife of Richard Field of Blackford, d.1819. Signed to lower part of north face: ' ..... INKBERROW, DELN. ET SC...' Ashlar chest on pinkish-brown brick plinth. Late Neo-Classical style. Approx. 2m high by 1.75m long by 1m wide. Plinth, stepped base, rectangular chest with quarter-balusters to indented angles. Long sides each have oval inscription panel within square frame with fluted decoration. Cavetto-moulded cornice. Shallow pyramidal surmounting slab. Badly-worn inscription to west face with remains of delicately carved decoration. To south face inscribed: 'SACRED / to the Memory of Eliz Wife of / Richd Field late of Black-Ford / who died Novr 9th 1819. Aged 61 Years'. All the listed items in the churchyard form a group.
