Description
95 High Street is a house that has been converted into a shop. It dates from the early 16th century and has undergone later alterations. The building features a timber frame with plastered infill and a renewed tile roof, with brick stacks at the rear. It has a two-unit plan.
The exterior consists of two storeys and a four-bay range. On the ground floor, there is a throughway at the left end and a shop front that includes large plate-glass windows flanking a large entrance with paired glazed doors. The first floor has two windows featuring two-light 20th-century casements. The first floor also showcases heavy close studding with square framing on the return walls.
Inside, the building has a ceiling supported by heavy joists in the center and to the right, with square framing on the partition walls.
