Description

51 High Street is a house that has been converted into a shop. It dates from the 17th century, with a front that was added in the 18th century. The building has a timber frame with rendered cladding at the bottom, whitewashed brick above, and weatherboarding at the rear. It features a plain tiled roof with an end stack on the left and a ridge stack on the rear wing. The structure is in a T shape and has two storeys. The first floor has three sash windows, while the ground floor includes 20th-century square bay windows and a glazed central door that is recessed. Inside, the timber framing is visible, particularly in the ceiling frames, which are supported by wooden pillars.
