Description
The Old Mill House is a house dating from the 16th century, with a front added in the 18th century. It features a timber frame with rendered cladding on the front, while the return fronts and rear are made of brick. The roof is plain tiled, with a large ridge stack positioned to the right of the center and end stacks on the left and rear. The house is two storeys high, with a plat band above the ground floor and at the base of the parapet. There are three bays on the right side and a gable front cross wing on the left. The first floor has 19th-century glazing bar sash windows, while the ground floor has early 19th-century windows. To the right of the center, there is a five-panel door with the top two panels glazed, set in an architrave surround beneath a flat hood supported by scrolled foliage brackets. The timber frame is exposed on the left-hand return front, and a crown post is visible in the rear gable of the cross wing.
