House, now 2 dwellings and galleries. C18 with later alterations and additions. Brick laid to Flemish bond; gabled old tile roof with renewed eaves tiles and brick end stacks and stack to rear. 3-unit plan. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; 3-window range. Plat band over ground floor and top dentilled brick cornice. Entrance to right of centre (No.54) has altered head and C20 door; flanking segmental-headed windows have plate glass in C20 projecting frames; entrance to left (No.56) has C20 door and canted bay window under flat roof. First floor has windows with 3-light casements with iron opening casements in projecting frames as to ground floor windows. Roof truss to partly exposed left gable. INTERIOR: not inspected but noted as having large fireplace.
