Description

Arden Gallery and Lacy Gallery is a house that has been converted into two dwellings and galleries. It dates from the 18th century and has undergone later alterations and additions. The building is constructed of brick laid in Flemish bond and features a gabled roof covered with old tiles, which have had the eaves tiles renewed, along with brick stacks at both ends and one at the rear. The layout consists of three units.

The exterior is two storeys high and has a three-window range. There is a plat band above the ground floor and a top dentilled brick cornice. The entrance for No. 54 is located to the right of the centre and features an altered head and a 20th-century door. Flanking this entrance are segmental-headed windows with plate glass set in 20th-century projecting frames. The entrance for No. 56, located to the left, has a 20th-century door and a canted bay window beneath a flat roof. On the first floor, the windows are 3-light casements with iron opening casements, similar to those on the ground floor. A roof truss is visible on the partly exposed left gable.

The interior has not been inspected, but it is noted to have a large fireplace.
