Description
Manor Farm Cottages is a house that has been converted into two dwellings. It dates from the early to mid-18th century, with indications of earlier origins and some later additions and alterations. The building is constructed of pinkish-brown brick in Flemish bond, featuring ashlar and red brick dressings, and has a plain tile roof with the lower two rows made of stone slates. The layout likely follows a traditional lobby-entry plan.
The structure is two storeys high and consists of three bays. It has red brick quoins and a central entrance that features a 19th-century part-glazed door with an overlight, set within a porch. There is evidence of a blocked entrance to the right. The windows throughout are 8-pane sashes with horns, set in quoined brick jambs and topped with flat arches made of rubbed brick, complete with ashlar keystones and sills. There is also a further blocked opening on the first floor. The building has a cogged eaves band and brick and ashlar coping on the left gable, with the roof hipped to the right and a ridge stack.
