Description
No. 7 Wood Street is a town house that has been converted into a shop and dwelling. It dates from around 1760, although it likely has earlier origins. The building is constructed of painted brick with ashlar dressings and features a tiled roof in the Georgian style. It stands two storeys high with an attic and has a two-window range. The façade is accentuated by end pilasters and a decorative cornice at the top. The 20th-century shop front has been added, while the first-floor windows are fitted with sills and architraves that have keys above 12-pane sash windows. The attic includes a hipped dormer with a 20th-century two-light leaded casement window and lead sides. There is also a rear wing.
