Description
The Smithy is a smithy building located approximately 3 metres southeast of The Close, dating from the late 18th century with minor alterations. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble, featuring a brick gable and a plain tile roof. The building is single storey.
The front facing the street has two windows that are fitted with external plank shutters. To the east, there is an open loggia supported by renewed timber posts. The inner east gable wall includes a single plank door, while the rear wall is made of brick and also has a single plank door. This building is listed for its group value.
