Description
Manor House, located in Temple Grafton, is an 18th-century building with early to mid-19th century alterations. It is constructed of coursed blue lias rubble with brick refronting that includes some vitrified headers, topped with a tile roof and brick end stacks.
The house is two storeys plus an attic and features a symmetrical three-window range. It has a top modillioned brick cornice. The entrance is highlighted by an architrave and canopy, leading to a door with leaded lights and two fielded panels. The segmental-headed windows have sills, with the ground floor featuring 19th-century tripartite casements that have rounded heads to the lights. The first-floor windows consist of three-light transomed casements flanking a cross casement. The attic includes three hipped dormers.
On the left side, there is some brickwork at the gable head and a variety of casements, while the right side features a late 19th-century bay window and a raking brick stack. The rear of the building has two gabled wings and several dormers. The interior has not been inspected.
