Description

Chapel House is a house dating from the 17th or early 18th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. It is timber-framed with painted brick infill on a plinth of high-coursed blue lias rubble, and has a steeply pitched thatched roof with a brick stack set into the ridge. The house originally comprised two units, with a rear outshut added later.

The exterior is single-storey with an attic and a cellar. It has a two-window front. The rear entrance is the main point of access. The ground floor features three small windows fitted with 20th-century small-paned top-hung casements. A small opening to the well in the cellar is covered by a thatched hood and a gate. Two dormers are set into the roof, each containing a 2-light window with small panes inserted in the 20th century. The timber framing is characterised by thin timbers and tension braces. The rear of the house has a 20th-century outshut.

The interior was not inspected during the listing process.
