Description

The Smithy is a smithy building dating from around 1840, with alterations made around 1890. It is constructed of brick and whitewashed, featuring a lean-to pantile roof and dentillated eaves. The structure is single storey and consists of two bays, with a single gable and a single roof stack. The windows are 19th and 20th century casements. On the front, to the left, there is a casement window and a plank door with timber jambs, while to the right, there is another casement window. The north-west end has a barred 19th century casement window. Inside, there are remains of an earlier pitched roof and two brick hearths.
