Description

Highland Hill Farm Barn, stable, and loose boxes are located approximately 30 meters southwest of the farmhouse. The barn dates from the 17th or 18th century, while the stable is likely from the early 19th century. The barn is timber framed with tension braces, featuring brick infill and weatherboarding above, along with a brick plinth. The party wall has been rebuilt in brick. The stable is constructed of red brick and has a brick dentil cornice.

The barn has three bays and includes a central porch with jowled posts and partially blocked plank doors. There are 19th-century brick outshuts, and at the rear, there are central plank doors. Inside, the barn features jowled posts, retaining walls, braces, and a queen strut roof. The stable has a central door, with a loose box on the left that has a stable door, and a blocked door on the right with a window inserted. There is a small stable window, and the ground floor openings have brick segmental arches. A casement window is located on the left side of the first floor, which also features a narrow arched window on the left return side. At the rear, there is a hayloft door.
