Description
Fairview Cottage is an 18th-century cottage that has undergone alterations and additions in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed from coursed ironstone and features a 20th-century tile roof, with a stone and brick stack on the right side. The cottage has a one-unit plan, is two storeys tall with an attic, and has a single window range on the gable end facing the road. The entrance side includes a porch on the left with a window, and a half-glazed, four-panelled door on the right return side. The windows are late 20th-century casements with wood lintels. The left return side, which faces the churchyard, has three fixed-light windows and a simple two-light, chamfered stone-mullioned attic window. The right return side is mostly obscured by single-storey additions, and there is a bricked-up door at the rear. The cottage is prominently located next to the churchyard and the path leading to the church, and it is included for its group value.
