Description

The Old Vicarage is a vicarage that has been converted into a house. It dates from the late 17th century to the 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. The building is constructed of coursed ironstone rubble and features a tile roof with coped gable parapets, along with stone end stacks that are present only on the cross wing.

The structure is L-shaped, with a cross wing on the left side, and consists of two storeys and an attic. It has a three-window range, with the entrance located in the angle. This entrance features a 19th-century chamfered four-panelled door that is recessed within a moulded wood surround. The windows are irregularly arranged, mostly consisting of two-light stone-mullioned windows with hood moulds, many of which have been renewed. The cross wing displays an 18th-century lintel with a keyblock above a 20th-century ground floor mullioned window, while original three-light and two-light mullioned windows can be found on the upper floors. There is a stack on the gable apex and a 20th-century roof dormer.

To the right, there is a single-storey, three-window wing that has a similar door. The rear of the building features a four-window range, with the first floor showcasing 20th-century metal casements and 18th-century lintels with keyblocks. A 20th-century hipped roof dormer is also present, and the cross wing has an apex stack. The interior has not been inspected.
