Description
The Bakehouse is a house dating from the early 18th century, which was raised and extended to the right in the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed from coursed squared ironstone rubble, with some finer stone, and features a concrete tile roof along with brick end and ridge stacks. The building has a four-unit plan and stands two storeys tall with an attic, presenting a four-window range.
There are two half-glazed four-panelled doors, one located in the middle of each range, with the right entrance featuring a tile hood. The windows include 19th and 20th-century two and three-light casements, most of which have horizontal glazing bars. The left range displays painted wood lintels, while the right range has stone flat arches on the ground floor and stone lintels with flush keystones on the first floor. The interior has not been inspected.
