Description
The Cottage is a semi-detached cottage dating from the early 19th century. It is built of regularly coursed ironstone and features a cement slate roof with a brick ridge stack. The cottage has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys tall with an attic, presenting a one-window range. The entrance, located in the right corner, has a half-glazed four-panel door and is sheltered by a 20th-century brick and trellis porch. The right half of the cottage retains its original three-light leaded casements, which have painted chamfered wood lintels. The left side has mid-19th century and 20th-century casements. At the rear, facing the road, there is a small curved projection that may have been a bread oven, along with a two-light leaded casement featuring a heavy painted lintel. There is a smaller window to the left and a 19th or 20th-century window inserted to the right. The interior has not been inspected. The cottage is included for its group value.
