Description
Bridge Cottage is a mid-18th century cottage that has been altered in the 20th century. It is built from coursed squared ironstone and features a thatched roof with brick stacks at each end. The cottage has a two-unit central-staircase plan and is two stories high with a three-window range. The central window is a two-light casement that has replaced the original door, and there are three-light casement windows on the ground floor to the left and right. The first floor has two-light casements to the left and right, along with a small one-light window in the center, all of which have wooden lintels. The building also features quoins and stone-coped gables with kneelers. At the rear, there is a 20th-century single-storey extension that includes the current entrance. Inside, the cottage has chamfered spine beams. It is included in the register for its group value.
