Description

The Cottage is a late 17th-century cottage that was altered in the late 19th century. It is constructed from coursed squared ironstone and features a plain-tile roof with brick end stacks. The building has a two-unit plan and is two stories high with a two-window range. The ground floor has three-light casement windows with wooden lintels and hood moulds, while the first floor has two-light wave-moulded stone mullion windows. The cottage also has quoins and stone-coped gables with kneelers. The entrance is located at the rear. Inside, the cottage includes chamfered spine beams and joists, as well as an open fireplace with a cambered ogee-stop-chamfered bressuaer.
