Lobbington Hall Farmhouse

Lobbington Hall Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with extensions added in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed from squared, coursed limestone, featuring ironstone quoins and windows, and has a tiled roof with brick end stacks. The building has two storeys and a two-window range, with a one-unit plan that includes a through-passage. The front features a 19th-century plank door with a chamfered stone surround, and the lintel has a chamfer and stops, along with a hood mould and label stops. There is a 20th-century stone lean-to porch with a corrugated roof. To the right, there is a three-light mullioned window and another above, both with hood moulds and label stops. The right gable end has a blocked mullioned window, with a partially blocked two-light mullioned window above, both also featuring hood moulds and label stops. At the rear, there is a 19th-century two-storey range, and to the left gable, a 20th-century two-storey brick kitchen and bathroom unit. Inside, there is one chamfered spine beam and stone flagged floors in the 17th-century range, which are now covered with concrete. The farmhouse is said to retain its original roof timbers and is included for its group value.
