Description
This is a pair of cottages built around 1800, located in Clifford Chambers. They are constructed of brick laid in Flemish bond and feature a steeply pitched tile roof with a brick stack at the front of the ridge. The cottages are two stories high and have a symmetrical two-window arrangement. A top modillioned brick cornice adds detail to the exterior.
The entrance on the left side has a segmental head and a plain door, while the entrance on the right side is in a lean-to porch with an overlight above a plank door. The ground floor windows are 2-light small-paned casements, and the first-floor windows have 2-light leaded casements, with the left window featuring an iron opening casement. The right side of the building is attached to No. 44, and there is a short rear wing with similar architectural details. The interior has not been inspected.
