Description
49 and 50 are two houses that were originally built in the early 19th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. The buildings are constructed of brick laid in Flemish bond and have a renewed tile roof featuring brick ridges and end stacks. The gable faces the front to the left.
The exterior is two storeys high and has a four-window range. At the top, there is a modillioned brick cornice. There are two entrances with 20th-century flat-roofed porches that have half-glazed doors on the returns. The windows are 20th-century three-light small-paned casements, with segmental heads on the ground floor. The central windows on the first floor are smaller and have two-light casements. The right side of the building facing the street has a lean-to outshut with a slate roof and one small segmental-headed window on the first floor. The rear of the building is attached to No. 51. The interior has not been inspected.
