Description
Maytrees is a house dating from the late 18th century, constructed of painted brick laid in Flemish bond. It features a steeply pitched tile roof with brick end stacks, one of which is truncated. The building has a 2-unit plan.
On the exterior, there is a brick plat band above the ground floor and a top modillioned brick cornice. The house is two storeys tall and has a symmetrical two-window range. The entrance includes a half-glazed door and a 20th-century gabled porch with leaded glazing, with an entrance to the side. The ground floor windows have rubbed brick cambered arches above three-light leaded casements, which include iron opening casements. The first-floor windows also have similar casements and there are 20th-century shutters. The right gable end features a small light, and the rear of the house has a lean-to outshut. Maytrees is attached to Nos. 43 and 45.
The interior has not been inspected but is noted to have a fireplace with a bressumer.
