Description

Littledene Cottage is an 18th-century house with later alterations and 20th-century additions, situated on the north-east side of Main Road in Binton. The house is constructed of coursed blue lias stone and has a steeply pitched thatched roof with half-hipped gables and a brick end stack. It follows a two-unit plan. The exterior presents a two-storey, two-window front. A 20th-century gabled porch sits to the front. A segmental-headed window to the left has a metal two-light casement with leaded glazing. The first floor has two small windows, also with original casements and leaded glazing, all fitted with 20th-century shutters. Large 20th-century additions are present - a single-storey addition to the left and a two-storey addition to the right. The interior was not inspected.
