Description
Fold Cottage is an 18th-century house with later alterations, located on the north side of Sandy Lane in the parish of Chisworth. The building is constructed of rendered rubble gritstone, featuring painted stone dressings and a stone slate roof with stone gable end stacks and a stone ridge stack. There is a plinth at the front range. The house is two storeys high, with two bays and a double range plan.
On the south elevation, there is a 20th-century gabled porch with a stone slab roof that covers the original doorcase. To the west, there is a four-light flush mullion window, and to the east, a similar two-light window. Above these, there are similar windows arranged in the same manner. Additionally, there is a tall staircase window in the rear range.
