Description
Thornlea Farmhouse is an early 19th-century building, originally a mill, now used as a house. It is constructed of coursed gritstone rubble with painted stone dressings, and has a stone slate roof with stone gable end stacks. The building is four bays wide and two storeys high. The central entrance is a flush doorcase, now covered by a 20th-century stone porch, flanked on each side by a three-light flush mullion window. Above, there are regularly placed two-light flush mullion windows on each floor.
