Description
Town Lane Farmhouse is a house built in 1719, constructed from coursed squared gritstone with gritstone dressings. It features a stone slate roof with stone coped gables and moulded kneelers, along with stone gable end stacks and a ridge stack. The building has two storeys. The south elevation shows that the west end is slightly later in date. The structure has angle quoins, and the ground floor includes a window filled with two 19th-century sashes. To the right, the quoins indicate the division between this section and the earlier part of the house. There is a doorway with a chamfered stone surround and a dated lintel inscribed "IS IS 1719." To the right of the doorway, there are two windows on each floor, one of which has a chamfered stone surround, with all windows featuring pairs of 19th-century sashes.
