Description

The Cottage is a house dated 1719, as indicated by the inscription on the door lintel. It is constructed from coursed rubble and features a graduated stone slate roof. The building has a three-unit plan and stands two storeys high, with stone quoins. The door, located in the third bay, has a chamfered stone surround and a dated lintel. There are three windows on the ground floor, two on the first floor, and one gable window, all with three lights and flat-faced mullions. The first bay projects and has been extended to the left in the 20th century, featuring 20th-century casement windows. The house has a ridge chimney stack and inside, there are chamfered and ovolo-moulded ceiling beams.
