Description
No. 41 Main Road is a house dating from 1719, as indicated by the inscription on the lintel. It is constructed of slobbered rubble and has a slate roof. The building features a 2-unit central-entry plan, with a third unit extending beyond a brick stack on the right. It stands two storeys high and has a five-light chamfered mullioned window to the left of the door, and another five-light window to the right, which is missing one mullion. On the first floor, there are two 2-light chamfered mullioned windows. The door jambs are chamfered and continue around a battlemented lintel. The third unit has a door with plain reveals and a plain window opening to its right. On the first floor, there is a rebated and chamfered surround with its central mullion missing. The building has chimneys on the gables, with the left-hand chimney featuring weathered coping.
