Description
Lawsons Farmhouse is a house from the late 17th century, built with slobbered rubble and topped with a slate roof. It features a two-unit central entry plan with gable stacks. To the left of the door is a five-light window with rebated and chamfered mullions, which includes one king mullion. There is a blocked fire window to the left of this window. To the right of the door, there are two two-light windows, also with rebated and chamfered mullions. A continuous drip course runs above the doorway, which has a deeply moulded surround. On the first floor, there are three windows with rebated and chamfered surrounds, and on each side of the central window, there are shallow square recesses that may have once been windows. At the right-hand end of the front wall, there is a mounting block. Each gable features a one-light attic window with a chamfered surround. The rear of the house has later extensions. Inside, the attic contains crucks that have been re-used as upper crucks.
