Description
Town End Farm Cottage, New Barn and New Cottage is a house dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of pebbledashed rubble and features a slate roof. The building has a double-pile central-entry plan with gable stacks and stands two storeys tall. The façade includes square-mullioned windows: one with two lights to the left of the front door and one with three lights to the right, along with two additional two-light windows on the first floor. The door is framed by a plain stone surround. Inside, the right-hand front room has a moulded stone fireplace typical of the 18th century, featuring a shouldered head. There are converted farm buildings on both sides, with the ones on the right covered by a continuous roof.
