Description
Rose Lea is a house dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of rubble and has a pebbledashed front with a slate roof. The building features a double-pile plan with a central entry and gable stacks. It stands two storeys high with an attic and has three bays. The windows are of mid-18th century design, featuring mullions, chamfers, and three lights, except for the central window on the first floor, which is a sashed window with glazing bars set in a plain stone surround. The door is sheltered by a modern porch. On the left-hand return wall, there is a projecting stack with offsets towards the front, which may be a remnant of an earlier house. This wall also contains two blocked chamfered attic windows.
