Description

This is a barn located approximately 15 meters north of Court Farmhouse, dating from the 17th century, with 18th and 19th century additions at both ends. The structure features a timber frame set on coursed blue lias rubble, with weatherboarding over brick infill. The right end is made of red brick, while the left end is rubble, topped with a half-hipped roof covered in renewed tiles. The barn is arranged in an L-plan.

On the east elevation, there are two entrances leading to the threshing floors, each with paired doors, and a smaller entrance at the left end. To the left, there is a stone stable addition that has two segmental-headed entrances, each flanked by segmental-headed windows. The addition on the right end features a high stone plinth and quoins, along with a segmental-headed entrance and flanking windows that have slatted ventilation lights.

The west elevation includes two windows at the left end, along with pitching holes that have strap hinges for shutters, positioned flanking and between the barn entrances. There is a stone half-hipped wing at the right end, which has a segmental-headed entrance, and a similar brick addition at the end with a stone south wall.

Inside, the barn has trusses with braced tie beams, queen posts, clasped purlins, and collars.
